A2P 10DLC stands for application-to-person messaging over 10-digit long codes, meaning ordinary local US phone numbers. US carriers require every business that texts from those numbers to register a brand (who is sending) and a campaign (what kind of messages, how people opt in, sample messages) through The Campaign Registry. Unregistered or poorly registered traffic gets filtered, throttled or blocked.
In practice
In a sub-account, A2P registration lives in Settings under Phone Numbers, in the Trust Center area (as of October 2026; menu names here change often). You submit the brand details (legal business name and EIN exactly as on file, address, website, contact), then the campaign: use case, two to five sample messages, the opt-in description and opt-out handling. Brand approval can be quick, and campaigns can take days, longer if rejected and resubmitted.
For agencies, the key points:
- Each client sub-account needs its own brand and campaign. Registering the agency doesn't cover client numbers.
- Snapshots don't carry A2P registration or phone numbers, so registration is part of every onboarding.
- Messages can show as sent in GoHighLevel and still be filtered by the carrier. Error 30007 is a common sign of carrier filtering.
- Your registered campaign should match what you actually send. Marketing blasts on a customer-care campaign invite filtering.
Where it shows up in RGS Tools
RGS Tools doesn't register or manage A2P. Blast Follow-Up only finds blasts, checks replies and adds tags, and the resend goes out from your own GoHighLevel numbers, so your sub-account's 10DLC registration still governs delivery. It's worth checking before any SMS blast resend.
